Software Developer (Java Backend / Cloud)
We are looking for a backend software developer who enjoys solving real technical challenges, working in a highly skilled engineering team, and helping a growing product company move to its next stage
Do you want to do something meaningful and directly impact customers' businesses? Are you a skilled backend developer with experience in the IoT world? If you answered yes, then keep reading and see if your next career step could be with us at Remion.
Why choose us?
We are a work community of about 50 people where technical expertise, engineering spirit, helping others, and flexibility meet. Remion crew has a diverse background, ranging from professionals from large companies to recent graduates. We share a passion for solving technical challenges, a general interest in technology, strong professional pride, and a genuine goal for high-quality work.
We’re looking for a new unicorn (a backend wizard with slight full-stack tendencies) to join our small but growing product development team. The team is compact and efficient, which means your work will have clear visibility and impact. If you have a “can do” mindset, your technical skills are more than lorem ipsum on your CV, and you’ve shipped things to production, you’ll fit right in.
We work in a hybrid setup: remote work is a natural part of our culture, but we also value meeting at the office from time to time to collaborate and stay connected as a team.
Our product is in an important phase of its evolution: we are adding new capabilities while continuously improving and modernizing the existing codebase. In this role, you will work on both new feature development and enhancing what is already in place including refactoring where it brings clear value. AI experience or DevOps skills are not mandatory, but they’re definitely nice add-ons in your skill stack.
The team operates with a startup-like mindset: everyone debugs, brainstorms, spec’s, and comments on the roadmap. If you prefer being part of a real team rather than a lone coder in a ticket factory, you might be exactly the unicorn we’re looking for.
If you’re curious what all this actually powers, check out our product.
You will develop backend systems that receive and process large amounts of data from thousands of devices and produce valuable information for our customers. These systems mainly run on various cloud service providers' platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.). Some key competences we value are Java and knowledge about time series databases.
We value
Trust - Trust at Remion is multi-directional. Colleagues trust each other and the management, and the management equally trusts the employees. We believe that trust creates a solid foundation for our operations.
Flexibility - Flexible working hours and location-independent work are everyday matters for us. The management is always ready to discuss and be flexible on matters important to the employees.
Helping others - Helping and asking for help is everyday for us. There may not be written instructions for everything, but it is guaranteed that when asked, help and instructions are always available.
Are you the one we are searching for?
You have worked in similar positions and have proven successes. Additionally, the Industrial Internet of Things is a familiar concept to you. Knowledge of the engineering industry is considered an advantage.
You have a natural precision and eye for software design. We hope you are proactive, ask when you get stuck, and are ready to help colleagues.
